Watersiders lose another game on the road...

SWINDON SUPERMARINE 3 0 BLACKFIELD & LANGLEY
SOUTHERN FOOTBALL LEAGUE SOUTH PREMIER DIVISION
8TH OCTOBER 2019

Blackfield travelled to the Webbswood Stadium, South Marston, where Supermarine secured all three points in this midweek encounter.

The Watersiders had a positive start to the match with two angled shots from the right of the host’s area narrowly flashing past the far side of goal and Makhloufi firing straight at keeper Horsell after weaving through the home defence from the left flank, all within the opening 15 minutes.

Supermarine proceeded to take the game to Blackfield with neat interpassing in their attacking play, their first real effort at goal by Williams from distance being comfortably gathered by keeper Noice. Just before the half hour however they went ahead. An angled shot from within the right side of the visitor’s area to the far post was hit into goal by Campbell arriving at pace. The lead was increased in the 36th minute, a long ball out of the host’s half causing hesitation in the Watersider’s defence, leaving McDonagh to score low into the empty goal from the edge of the area.

Just before half time, a Kasimu effort was saved by Horsell diving low to his left.
Shortly after the restart Horsell was again in action diving low to save from Gunson’s effort from outside the area.

On the hour Campbell shot narrowly wide of the visitor’s goal. Shortly after Noice did well to leap and tip the ball over the bar as a free kick into the danger area glanced off the head of a defender.

In the 63rd minute, goal number three arrived, courtesy of a close range header by Williams, as a free kick across goal was headed back across the face of goal.
From then to the final whistle, Blackfield pressed, Griffin shooting inches wide and Plummer from a good position heading too straight, allowing Horsell to clutch comfortably.

BLACKFIELD: NOICE, OLUMUYIWA, MORRISON, WATERFIELD, MEDWAY ©, HARFIELD, GWENGWE (RAE), GUNSON (BONGOU), KASIMU PLUMMER), MAKHLOUFI, GRIFFIN.
